These are the changes I’ve made in my life


In my former lives as a barrister, full-time mum and then carer for my own mum, I was always tired (& dieting, ineffectively).

When my husband Jim died and I had to take stock of my unexpectedly different future, I found my way to Co-Active coaching, first as a client and later a coach.

My coach supported me to take better care of my health. I saw that putting on my own oxygen mask first enabled me to take better care of the people I cared about.

Once the inner work was done, when I stumbled upon a new and powerful strategy for peak health – Time Restricted Eating – I found that sticking to the habits was so much easier.

Since doing TRE and following a few other science-backed habits in my life, and sticking to them because I’ve changed my beliefs about what’s possible for me, I have transformed my experience of being in my body and mind.

I’ve gone from being preoccupied with food, having energy dips and cravings to feeling amazing and having total food freedom. 

Freedom from cravings.

Freedom to eat delicious, real food like butter, that I’d deprived myself of for years. 

Freedom to enjoy food without guilt.                                                

I know there are millions of mid-life women out there who are not enjoying food – and life – as much as they could be. So now I’m on a mission to support as many mid-life women struggling with low energy and excess weight as I can.

This really matters because wherever you go, whoever you’re with and whatever you do – you always take your body and mind with you.


When does your next group run?

My next group starts on Saturday 18 March 2023 but if you’d like to get started with the
materials earlier, or Saturday is not a good day for you, please get in touch. I also have a 1:1 or
1:2 program (for you and a partner or friend) which I can run on a day to suit you.

How much support do I get?

You get as much as you need.

Throughout the 8 weeks, you can always reach out to me for extra support in whatever form seems appropriate, whether email or zoom.

As well as the weekly coached masterclass in which we do the journal coaching exercises together, you’ll be part of a private Facebook group, and some groups like to set up a WhatsApp group as well for extra community support.

I limit the number of people in any group so that there’s always time for everyone to have the opportunity for sharing and personal support from me.

Is anything I share kept confidential?

Absolutely. All members of the group will agree to keep what’s said in the room within the room
so that anything you choose to share in the live group or the FB page will be kept private. In any case, much of the ‘sharing’ you do will be between you and your journal!

How deeply will I need to feel into this course?

As with any kind of coaching experience, the more you put in, the more you’ll get out of it.

It will help you to approach the course with an open heart and mind so that you can really get in touch with what matters to you, and connect that up with your new habits to give them resonance and make them stick.

Is the course just for people who want to lose weight?

Definitely not! The emphasis is on gut-health and high energy as much as on weight loss.

When I began my own 7 Habits journey, it was about healthy lifestyle habits aimed at longevity rather than purely weight loss – this really matters to me since my 3 kids have lost their dad, so I feel I need to be around for them for as long as possible.

Then I found that the same simple habits were also the key to being the weight I wanted to be – which had eluded me for many years. This was a joyful discovery and one I wanted to share!

Which is why I created this program.

The reason my first tagline is ‘Be the weight you want to be…’ is that my business mentor once said “Sell them what they WANT. Give them what they NEED” (I think she was quoting someone! but it’s very wise) and my mission is to draw women into this lifestyle in order to lose weight, and then get them doing the habits that will also help protect them from disease and increase their chances of a longer’s a trick you see (evil laughter…)

What if I can't make one of the live masterclasses?

Because of the confidential nature of the work we do in the zoom room, and to keep this a safe space for sharing, I don’t record these sessions.

But I have a series of pre-recorded videos which walk you through the processes we undertake in the masterclasses so that if you miss it, you can catch up.

How is the course delivered?

The mindset part of 7 Habits for Vibrant Life is delivered in the form of 8 x 1 hour live masterclasses via Zoom, accompanied by the printable journal which you’ll fill in during the masterclass.

The science part of the course is delivered in the form of 26 pre-recorded videos, which are organised into 4 Modules which you’ll receive one per fortnight.

The workbook  accompanies the videos and contains bullet point summaries for those who don’t have time to listen to the videos but also links to the sources for those who want to dig deeper into the science.

I'm worried that I don't have time.

This course will actually save you time!

The weekly masterclass lasts for 1 hour and during that time you’ll complete most of your journalling exercises, which are going to have a profound effect on your mindset.

Each fortnight you’ll receive around 6 pre-recorded videos containing the science behind the 7 Habits, each around 7 minutes long, so that’s a total of under 1 hour per fortnight.

The workbook contains bulletpoint summaries of the videos so if you haven’t got time to listen to them you can catch up in  minutes.

No extra reading is necessary – the links in the workbook are there for you if you’re someone who likes to dig into the science or see my sources, but this is optional.

You will save loads time in your life if you shrink your eating window – during the fasting period you’ll be free from decisions about what to eat, and free from the need to prepare the food. It’s incredibly liberating!

Could I learn all this science from podcasts and books?

Absolutely! All the science within this course is freely available from books, podcasts, published scientific studies and articles I have read and listened to, and continue to read and listen to.

I have spent many hours selecting and condensing the informaton and translating it into plain English in bite sized chunks. And then turning it into a list of simple habits that I have used (and you can use)  to change the trajectory of my (your) health.

And I have then combined that scientific information with some powerful coaching techniques to help you to make the habits stick.

So, although you could gather all the scientific information on your own, you’ll save a lot of time and effort by doing this course. Plus you’ll get the coaching, and the community, to support you to change your mindset…that part can’t be found in a book or study…

What happens when I enrol?

When you sign up, you’ll receive access to Module 1, which comprises 6 pre-recorded videos, with the accompanying Module 1 workbook and printable journal.

You’ll also receive the Zoom invite for the first live coached masterclass shortly afterwards.

Do I need any special equipment to start my new habits?

You’ll need a gadget on which you can join the zoom meetings.

A printer for printing the journal, although if you don’t have this you can just note down the questions as we go. So, alternatively, just a notebook and pen.

In Module 3, starting with just 2 minutes a day, I’ll be guiding you through the creation of a habit of doing a small repertoire of strengthening exercises in babysteps, to maintain your ‘organ of longevity’, your skeletal muscle mass. For this aspect of the course, a yoga mat and a kettlebell would be useful, though not essential.
